The open bangle is made of triangular profile silver wire, thinned towards both ends where the two pendants are placed, shaped as pagoda (or “chedi” as it is called in Thailand). It is entirely handmade in 95% pure silver, the surface is etched with our distinctive “cat-fur” technique that gives our silver products beautiful matte finish.
There are pagoda-shape earrings created for the same collection.
Chedi shape bangle is a part of our “Genesis” collection that explores the process of mindfulness, dedication and perseverance behind each product. All our jewelry is crafted entirely by hand by the Thai Karen hill tribe people who are known for their traditional silversmithing skills. We would like to transmit these ideas to whoever will be wearing our jewelry as a reminder of conscientiousness during their everyday activities. We believe that jewelry created in this way does more than just “look good”, it also “does good” and gives back to the whole community, as the sales help preserve and keep alive the traditional arts and crafts.
