The bangle is composed of two triangular profile silver wires soldered together, and another simple round wire bangle with silver bead is placed in the middle so that it spins around. It is entirely handmade in 95% pure silver, the surface is etched with our distinctive “cat-fur” technique that gives our silver products beautiful matte finish.
The silver bead serves as a tactile point for the spinner bangle, as this item has been created in collaboration with the Association for the Blind, as a part of research of the concept of “touching beauty” – jewelry for the visually impaired.
There is a matching ring created for the same collection.
The ring and bangle are a part of our “Genesis” collection that explores the process of mindfulness, dedication and perseverance behind each product. All our jewelry is crafted entirely by hand by the Thai Karen hill tribe people who are known for their traditional silversmithing skills. We would like to transmit these ideas to whoever will be wearing our jewelry as a reminder of conscientiousness during their everyday activities. We believe that jewelry created in this way does more than just “look good”, it also “does good” and gives back to the whole community, as the sales help preserve and keep alive the traditional arts and crafts.
